SO,.,..Taking the Claret and Blue specs off for a moment, Just how good are we ?

Well , The only thing that really matters, i think for the time in a long while we can say we're better than the Spuds, and its true.
I would not swap their team from ours, not one iota, We're defiantly Top 6 material, strength in depth, pace through out the team, Crunch and skill in midfield, and strikers who know where its at...

it's all going to come down to luck with injuries. if we can keep the front two fit then im confident of a top eight finish. the natural finishing of both players causes opposition defences headaches. add their pace and threat in the air and they can be a nightmare for any back four. still worry a little bit about lack of depth at centre back and if one of the three gets injured we could have problems. maybe bringing in a young centre half from the championship or possibly scout another talent from the French league with a long term view of him eventually replacing reid if he fucks off as expected. not a lot to moan about at the moment and can't wait to see how the mancs handle our new system

That is the huge difference PACE, nice to see us look to have players that don't watch the opposition fade into the distance.

We have got 14 or so very decent players but extremely average or unproven beyond that. Good options in midfield but would struggle to replace long term absence to key forwards and defenders.

we look good, even useful going forward,although our attacking plan does not appear to be one that is particularly varied, it is seldom classed as ponderous
I havent seen us on the back foot yet, really up against it and needing to bounce back,

Think we are a team who will finish anywhere between 7th and 11th in the league

That in my opinion is our level best thing is that we are trying to play more football this year instead of the hoofball we've had over the last 3 years

Big improvement on last year that's all we can ask for and a fucking real FA cup run

I still have us between 8th an 11th come the end of the season. This current form is really good but not one that will last too long ...

If we maintained existing points per game ratio we would end the season on 62 points which is somewhere between 6th and 8th. That and a first ever Prem era positive goal difference would do nicely.

I'm over the fucking moon with our position and recent performances but it is very early days. Ask me again at Christmas and if things are still the same then I'll start to believe.

But for now I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the current form and for once look forward to playing teams like Manchester City.

I am clueless. It doesn't hurt/burn when he pees and he can sleep through the night fine - he only deals with this constant urge while awake. He does drink plenty during the day, but nothing that remotely explains the frequency he's going.

Don't think we're as good as them player for player, honestly.

I think we've found a combination of players that at the moment works very well and I'd say we're genuinely good enough to finish 7th or so on present form.

I think we'll be down to earth a little bit on saturday, but if we can stay injury free, there's no reason we can't have our best league finish for a long time and a run at the cup.

I'm sure at some point we'll have a run of worse form though and there will be all doom and gloom and Allardyce out again.

Lets see what we're like when we've been tested. To note, so far this season, don't think we have.

We're not a top 6 side. We're on a purple patch, which is great but I won't be getting carried away. Throughly enjoying it recently though.

I'll still take top 10 as a good season.

We are better but we are not Champions League.

We have beaten 2 teams at the bottom, Palace and a Liverpool team which can't defend.

Ask again on Saturday evening after Man City.

We are a decent team, but there a few decent teams around this year, was impress with West Brom yesterday.

Top 10 is a realistic target. Anything above that would be an excellent season.

We'll have a better idea of where we are after Christmas. We're playing well though and the squad is a country mile better than last seasons.
We wont finish above Liverpool, Man Utd or Arsenal but it's nice to be at the moment.
We'll finish somewhere between 16th and 9th.

I honestly wouldn't mind if we finished in the lower half, as long as we played some nice football.

Until we move into the stadium, our priorities should be

1. Avoid relegation
2. Play some nice football, to get a good feeling back around the club.

Anything else - Europe or whatever - can wait.
